Earlier this morning, I found some old blogs of mine from back in the day, the "day" being my college days, which I suppose would really constitute more than just a day... you get the idea. Anyway, it was amazing to notice how much has changed since then, but even more so, how much has stayed the same, at least, in terms of who I authentically am. For example, I am still introspective as all heck, philosophical at times, and very interested about the people in my life and people in general. Perhaps it's a bit of an ego-stroke, but I enjoy reading what I have written over the years and remembering just how much I have always enjoyed expressing myself through the art of writing and sharing it with others.
One blog in particular, Krystal's Thought of the Day, was a project I started back in 2002 but abandoned after a short run. It was a good idea at the time: I would write one short, off-the-cuff reflection each day, and eventually, I would have a collection of my brilliant (or perhaps not-so-brilliant) ideas, thoughts, and nuggets of wisdom for all to read. Well, I am not sure how much wiser I have become in the past few years, but I would like to think that I have grown up a bit since then and picked up a few good lessons along the way. So here it is, back from the grave, with greater vivacity and purpose, I hope! At the very least, I hope you all enjoy... and perhaps you may leave with a greater understanding of me, yourselves, the world around you, or life in general.
